Un mois de riposte Maladie à Virus Ebola
Overview
This bulletin (in French) provides a one-month update on the Ebola outbreak response in Kasaï (DRC).
The 16th Ebola epidemic, declared on 4 September 2025, remains concentrated in the Bulapé Health Zone, with 64 cases and a high fatality rate. The Ministry of Health, supported by INSP/COUSP and WHO, is coordinating a unified response involving 24 accredited partners. Over 20,000 people have been vaccinated, nearly all contacts are being followed, and treatment centres, surveillance, laboratory capacity, and community engagement activities are being strengthened. However, coverage remains uneven across peripheral areas, and critical gaps persist in psychosocial support, survivor follow-up, and logistics.
The bulletin also highlights partner contributions and outlines collective priorities for reinforcing the response and ensuring more sustainable health system support.
