as of 24 November 2023

Overview

As of 24 November,  the oPt Health Cluster has undertaken the following activities in both Gaza and the West Bank. Evacuations from Shifa and Indonesian Hospitals in Gaza have assisted 221 patients, including 31 babies, with additional services such as rehabilitation, primary health care consultations, and post-natal care benefiting thousands. Vaccination efforts have reached 10,156 children, and essential kits have been delivered to Nasser Hospital to support emergency obstetric care. Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services have aided around 20,000 individuals. In parallel, an Emergency Medical Team (EMT) strategy is being implemented, coordinating surge support and deploying teams from organizations like MSF and ICRC to provide critical healthcare services. Operational challenges in the supply chain persist, with 224 trucks entering Gaza with medical supplies, and ongoing efforts to map health-related cold chain capacity in Al Arish and Gaza.
