The fourth annual Health Cluster Forum was held on 26-28 June 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland. 20 Health Cluster Coordinators (HCCs), six Health Cluster Co-coordinators, one Incident Manager and one Information Management Officer participated from 22 countries across five World Health Organization (WHO) regions, with staff from three WHO Regional Offices and Headquarters, Global Health Cluster partners, as well as the Global Health Cluster unit.

The Forum convenes HCCs annually to engage in cluster capacity building efforts, share leadership best practices, address challenges and areas of concern, and to document good practices. At the three-day forum, HCCs shared their cluster experience and perspectives with their colleagues through informal presentations, group work and plenary discussions.

Overall outcomes of the Forum included:

  • Strengthened relations and networks among Health Cluster Coordinators; 
  • Lesson learnt documented;
  • Recommendations formulated to strengthen coordination and improve the health sector humanitarian response.
