Localization

The Global Health Cluster defines localization as a collaborative process to engage local and national actors (L/NAs) in leading health responses. In 2024 the Localization Strategy was launched, which outlines practical steps to strengthen L/NA involvement in coordination mechanisms at country and global levels, with specific goals set to be achieved by December 2025.

e-Learning

The Health Cluster Coordination e-learning course provides an introduction to the work of the Health Cluster, which aims to save lives and promote dignity in humanitarian and public health emergencies, and to strengthen the efficiency and accountability in responding to humanitarian crises.

About the GHC

Training of trainers: preparing health care workers for emergencies such as Ebola, Liberia 2015.

Health Clusters exist to relieve suffering and save lives in humanitarian emergencies, advancing the well-being and dignity of affected populations. There are 29 Health Clusters/Sectors, of which 2 are regional coordination mechanisms. The Global Health Cluster exists to support Health Clusters/Sectors in countries
